COVID-19 UPDATE

COVID-19 POLICY AND PROCEDURE

DURING THIS COVID-19 PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY, PARENTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ENTER THE FACILITY BEYOND THE DESIGNATED DROP OFF AND PICK UP AREA. I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS PROCEDURE CHANGE IS FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL PERSONS PRESENT IN THE FACILITY AND TO LIMIT THE EXTENT POSSIBLE EVERYONE’S RISK OF EXPOSURE

  • IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY REQUIRING PARENTS TO ENTER THE FACILITY BEYOND THE DESIGNATED DROP-OFF / PICKUP AREA THEY WILL SANITIZE THEIR HANDS BEFORE ENTERING, REMOVE THEIR SHOES AND WEAR A MASK. WHILE IN THE FACILITY THEY MUST PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING AND REMAIN 6 FEET FROM ALL OTHER PEOPLE EXCEPT FOR THEIR OWN CHILD.
  • TO ENTER THE STUDIO PREMISES DANCERS, STAFF, PARENTS MUST BE FREE OF COVID-19 SYMPTOMS. IF, DURING THE DAY, ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS APPEAR THE STUDENT WILL BE SEPARATED FROM THE REST OF THE PEOPLE IN THE STUDIO, PARENTS WILL BE CONTACTED AND DANCER MUST BE PICKED UP FROM THE STUDIO WITHIN 15 MINUTES.
  • SYMPTOMS INCLUDE:
    • FEVER OF 100.4 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT OR HIGHER
    • DRY COUGH
    • SHORTNESS OF BREATH
    • CHILLS
    • LOSS OF TASTE OR SMELL
    • SORE THROAT
    • MUSCLE ACHES
  • WHILE MANY SYMPTOMS MIGHT BE NON-COVID-19 SYMPTOMS, WE ARE PROCEEDING WITH BY ASSUMING THEY ARE COVID-19 DURING THIS PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY. THESE SYMPTOMS TYPICALLY APPEAR 2-7 DAYS AFTER BEING INFECTED, SO PLEASE TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY. DANCERS AND STAFF WILL NEED TO BE SYMPTOM FREE FOR 72 HOURS BEFORE RETURNING TO THE FACILITY
  • DANCERS AND STAFF MUST WEAR A MASK WHEN MOVING THROUGHOUT THE BUILDING. DANCERS WILL HAVE THE OPTION TO REMOVE THE MASK TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS AND ONLY WHEN PARTICIPATING IN CLASS. DANCE SPACE HAS BEEN MARKED SO THAT DANCER CAN MAINTAIN THEIR DISTANCE WHILE TRAINING.
  • STUDENTS AND STAFF WILL BE REQUIRED TO USE HAND SANITIZER ACCORDING TO THE CDC RECOMMENDED HAND WASHING PROCEDURES EVERY TIME THEY TOUCH A SURFACE IN THE STUDIO
  • STUDENT’S AND STAFF’S TEMPERATURE WILL BE TAKEN PRIOR TO ENTERING THE BUILDING. THEY WILL BE GIVEN HAND SANITIZER FOR THEIR HANDS; THEY WILL STEP ON A DISINFECTANT MATT TO CLEAN SHOES PRIOR TO ENTERING STUDIO MAIN LOBBY. STUDENTS WILL THEN REMOVE THEIR SHOES AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE STUDIO AND PLACE THEM IN A DESIGNATED CUBBY. DANCERS WILL THEN SELECT A DESIGNATED SPOT ON THE FLOOR FOR THEIR BELONGS TO REMAIN DURING THEIR CLASS TIME.
  • PARENTS WILL IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THE STUDIO SCHOOL OF DANCE IF THEY BECOME AWARE OF ANY PERSON WITH WHOM THEIR CHILD HAD CONTACT EXHIBIT ANY OF THE SYMPTOMS LISTED ABOVE, IS ADVISED TO SELF-ISOLATE, QUARANTINE, OR HAVE TESTED POSITIVE, OR IS PRESUMED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 .
  • IF YOUR STUDENT IS ATTENDING IN SCHOOL CLASSES AND THEY ARE ACCESSED TO QUARANTINE FROM SCHOOL, THEY WILL ALSO NEED TO QUARANTINE FROM ATTENDING CLASS AT THE STUDIO SCHOOL OF DANCE.
  • PLEASE NOTE THAT STUDENTS ENTERING OUR STUDIO WILL BE IN CONTACT WITH CHILDREN, FAMILIES AND EMPLOYEES WHO ARE AT RISK OF COMMUNITY EXPOSURE. THERE IS NO LIST OF RESTRICTIONS, GUIDELINES OR PRACTICES THAT WILL REMOVE 100% OF THE RISK OF EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 AS THE VIRUS CAN BE TRANSMITTED BY PERSONS WHO ARE ASYMPTOMATIC AND BEFORE SOME PEOPLE SHOW SIGNS OF INFECTION. WE PLAY A CRUCIAL ROLE IN KEEPING EVERYONE IN THE FACILITY SAFE AND REDUCING RISK BY FOLLOWING THE PRACTICE IS OUTLINED HERE
  • SHOULD THERE BE A SPIKE IN COVID-19 CASES, AND WE ARE FORCED INTO A STAY AT HOME ORDER AGAIN, ALL CLASSES WILL CONTINUE VIRTUALLY. TUITION WILL REMAIN THE SAME FOR ANY AMOUNT OF TIME SPENT DOING VIRTUAL CLASSES.
