Pilates is an innovative and safe system of mind-body exercise using a floor mat or a variety of equipment. It can be best described as strength, stretch, and control. In a classical Pilates mat class, we utilize bodyweight exercises to do resistance training. Joseph Pilates said that his method “develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong postures, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind, and elevates the spirit.”

*We must have a minimum of 3 registered students for the class to remain on our schedule. Should you want to drop in for class please contact us to make sure we have availability in the class. Classes tend to fill up so we recommend you register to reserve your spot.

MEET OUR INSTRUCTOR
Tess Losada is a third generation classical Pilates teacher and a professional dancer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Performance, and a comprehensive Pilates certification through Alycea Ungaro’s Real Pilates NYC. Tess truly believes that as Joseph Pilates said, change happens through movement, and movement heals. She strives to help her clients create change in their bodies and minds through Pilates. Tess enjoys the challenge of working with all kinds of special clients; athletes, the elderly, joint replacements, chronic back problems, pre-professional and professional dancers.
